I believe Phoenix, the whole team seems healthy this year. Also Nash and Marion look as if they are in their prime. The supporting cast is there, there only obstacle is Dallas. I guess IT ll all go down to who's injured, cause it's very like these two teams would be competing for their conference.

Dallas will win the NBA championship this year. They are the hungriest team. Not only do they have the best record in the NBA but they want this championship more than any other team. I think it will come down to Detroit and Dallas. Dallas wins 4 to 1.
My first guess would be the Maveriks, BUT the Jazz look strong. They have beaten the Suns all the times they've had them, and I believe they split with the Mavs. Most of those games were close. Deron Williams is amazing. The Jazz seem to have a chemistry that most teams lack. That might be key to their going far. However, injuries can still occur and its probably best to just say...whoever comes out of the west will win it all.

well the championship will go through Dallas. The only way someone will rob it, is if the referees sell the game (again) or if Dirk or J-Ho gets hurt! The bench is so deep that they will be able to over come other injuries as well. The addition of Devean and Buckner was great as they are good defensive presence on big guards and forwards. The most important thing that is burning these Mavs is the fact that they are pissed off! they are pissed of that no one ever gives them the credit! they are pissed off that people still doubts their abilities! They are pissed off that they lost their rings to the referees the last time around!

Yes, the Spurs have stepped it up and they are playing really good ball... But I think the Mavs have got over the hold that Spurs had on them. After the Dirk's dagger in game 7 that killed off spurs and let the whole San Antone reeling, the momentum has swung in Mavs favour. It's not that we both like the Phoenix Suns but here are the facts:

1.Before they traded Marion, Suns was at the top of the Western standings, even up to now, they are just 1 game behind the Lakers.

2.When they got Shaq, which is obviously better than others one would might think. (That they got an old garbage one) Which I think is the opposite. Even before Shaq arrived, Suns are already a scoring machine which they can get 10 or more points from of course, Amare and Steve plus Grant, Boris and Raja. And add Giricek for a 3pt whenever they will double team Shaq or Amare.

3.NBA is also a business which you handle people and a lot of people for that matter wherein you as the Manager should keep everybody happy, in high morale.

Keeping Marion will just make things worst for the Suns in the long haul.

Therefore, with Shaq around as a leader and an experienced veteran with 3 rings and 3 finals MVP, the Suns, OUR SUNS, will never go wrong come playoff time.

ok check it out.. in the west I say it will be the Hornets or the lakers... Hornets are 4-0 vs phoenix this seasonthat knocks them out right there... we just beat houston last night.. After their 22 game run.. they are done plus T-Mac has never made it out of the first round of th eplayoffs!! Now Dallas may be a problem but I think Th ehornets can beat them too... THERE ARE A FEW THINGS THEY NEED TO WORK ON THOUGH, DEFENDING THE BALL ON THE MOVE, AND LIMITING TURNOVERS. ANOTHER THING THEY WILL NEED COME PLAYOFF TIME IS DESIRE! THEY NEED TO FEEL LIKE THIS IS THEIR TIME, THEIR CHANCE TO WIN IT ALL! AND THEN GO OUT AND MAKE IT A REALITY!

Kobe Bryant simply because he is learning how to be a team player. He was averaging 6.3 assists in the playoffs. He knows that he has a quality team, they just need someone else to complete the triangle. Ron Artest would have been the perfect addition. I think that the Lakers are going to find a really good center this off-season. They are in the building mode right now. Give them a few years, and they will be hot. But, the Heat on the other hand have many players that are on their way out the door. Payton, Mourning, Shaq... all players that will retire in the next 5 years. Who will Wade be left with?
